I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes

The kids crack me up.

When Daddy gets home, the night begins.  The party begins.

Tonight it consisted of a bit of a tug of war.

To Faye, Daddy was a couch or bed.

To Keith, er, Calvin, Daddy was Hobbs.  You know, from Calvin and Hobbs?  Mainly because Jeffrey was wearing a stripped shirt.  Like tiger stripes, or so Keith said.

And so, the dialogue went something like this:

"Wake up, Hobbs!"

"Go to sleep, Daddy.  Go to sleep, Couch!"

"Wake up, Hobbs!"

"Couch, sleep.  Sleep, couch, sleep!"

"Hobbs!!!  Time to wake up!"

"Time to sleep, Daddy.  You are my bed."

And then, two minutes later, Faye said

"Beep.  Beep.  Beep.  Beep.  Beep.  Beep.  Beep..."

"Turn off!"  Keith said, hitting (softly) her on her head to turn the alarm off.

"Ha!  You can't turn me off.  I am broken.  Beep.  Beep.  Beep.  Beep..."

Its always fun when Daddy comes home.
