I love preschool. I really do. I have been amazed at the leaps and bounds of progression keith has made.
The most noteworthy, however, is the social growth.
I think I mentioned before the girls adore him. Well, it has gotten much worse. There are only two girls in the class who are not enamored with him. All the rest, well, let's just say I am so glad he is only four.
Quite a few of the boys love playing with him, as well. I am so glad he is such a favorite. It makes me so proud.
All the teachers are now calling him Romeo. Keith is completely oblivious to it all. As well he should be.
The boy astounds me. He is sounding out words, learning to add and subtract, and sometimes stumping his teachers with his questions. He talks a lot about molecules, and blood cells. Personally, I think he is a genius. Of course, I am a little biased.
The other day, I was cleaning up the family room. Keith sauntered into the room, stood in front of me, and grinned.
Later, as I was preparing dinner, again, Keith ran in, this time, he grabbed my arm.
"Mom! Come and see. Come and see!"
I ran with him down the hall and into my room. There on the floor, was the outfit Keith had been wearing. With a few things added.
"Do you like my scarecrow, Mom? It will keep the crows out of your room." He informed me. I laughed out loud. He is excellent at preventing problems. Fix it before it happens kind of person. Just in case any crows wanted to infiltrate the basement bedroom, we are now covered!
