The Adventures in Hungry Toddler Shoppping

I was grocery shopping with Keith yesterday. We hadn't had dinner yet as we were waiting to go to ihop for pancake day (did you go?). I know it is never a good idea to go grocery shopping on an empty stomach, but as we were planning on eating immediately after, I didn't think it would be a big deal.

As we were walking through the produce area, I stopped to look at some spinach. As I was pondering the need for spinach, I looked down and saw Keith.

He had pulled a green onion out of a bunch and was in the process of taking a big bite out of it.

I big bite.

He bit it in half bite.

I wasn't planning on buying green onions yesterday, but they were added to the cart. I couldn't very well put it back!

As we continued along, I noticed him trying to sneak some grapes out of the cart.

That boy was hungry!

I think my lesson has been learned. Never take a hungry toddler to the grocery store.

On an different note, I will be changing to a new blog url. at the end of next week. I want to give ample notice so it doesn't take anyone by surprise. Jeffrey and I were talking about internet safety and though it is a pain to switch the url, I would rather have my family safe from any loonies who decide my life is important enough to mess with. That said, you will be able to find me at I hope to see you all there!

What a funny story about your hungry boy. And I agree, you can't be too careful on the internet. And I really like the involuntary smiles url. It fits!

It's so good to know other kids do that too! My kids always grab an apple and take a bite out of it. Once one of my kids took a bite and buried it back in the bin with all the other apples and I couldn't find it! How did Keith like the green onion?

Hahaha that's so funny! I say never bring a hungry mommy to the grocery store, I have way more problems wanting to eat the food than my kids! :)
