Dear Daddy,

I just want you to know I really liked the breakfast you made. I know I wouldn't eat any of it while you were here, but that is because I was still waking up.

Mommy was cleaning your bedroom when I found a bright yellow crayon on the floor. It looked like sunshine. I like sunshine, so I thought I would taste it. Sunshine tastes yucky!

I decided that I would try those pancakes you made especially for me after all.

Mommy showed me where I had left my plate and I devoured them.

I asked her for more so she gave me two more and I inhaled those also.

I wanted more, but this time she only gave me one. No matter, I made that one disappear just as fast as the other 4. But guess what. I still wanted some more.

I asked Mommy, and do you know what she did? She looked at me as if she were thinking (you know, with her head cocked to the side) and then she laughed and put one more on my plate! She is the best Mommy in the world! I am so glad you married her. Then she sat down with me and we danced while I ate.

I wanted to show her how happy she had made me, so I tried to give her a hug, but she caught my hands, kissed my face and told me that I had to wash up, the sticky monster had gotten a hold of me. I let her wash me, but I didn't like it when she washed my face. I told her so.

She put me down and do you know what? I remembered that I am really tired! All 6 of those pancakes just made me so sleepy. I ran to my bed and Mommy followed. She gave me my Monkey, Bear and Froggy, and then she kissed me again, and guess what, I got to take the longest nap ever!

I can't wait for you to come home so I can show you the sticky masterpieces I made. Mommy called them messes, but we know better, hu? At dinner will you sit by me, and then take me for a walk in the stroller? Please?

I love you.

Sammy thinks that each color in the crayon box should taste diffrent and it shocks her that they don't.... She has yet to try all 70ish of them but she is making headway on them... I hope she gets done tasting them and we can just make pretty colors with them =)

This letter makes me want to write one to my husband as well....from the kids of course. Too bad he doesn't read my blog. Silly husband. He'd have so much more insight. I do think it's wonderful that Keith's mommy decided to give in and give him the extra pancakes. They really are a wonderful way to start off a nap. ;)
