A Few Random Truths

Lat night I learned a very valuable truth. I had my suspicions before, but last night they were confirmed. I learned the power of red lipstick. The husband cannot say no to me when I am wearing my red lipstick. I don't know why, I don't question why. I enjoy it, and bask in the glory of the knowledge thereof. Red is the color of power. (Pictures are coming!)
Last night I revisited my childhood fears. When I was a very little girl I was terrified of wolves. I was terrified of getting out of bed during the night because I thought that wolves were hiding under my bed. I would jump to the middle of my room. I would then run to my door and stand there for what seemed like hours looking up and down the hall, knowing that the second I stepped into the hall, they would charge me. It was quite a terrifying experience. I didn't even like to sleep with any of my limbs hanging over the edge of the bed, because they could just reach up and chomp on whatever extremity was hanging overboard. Last night my arm was hanging off the bed, and I got that fear again. I know it was silly, and I laughed, but I did pull my arm over the edge of the bed and into the covers. What silly childhood nightmare haunts you even now?
Also, I learned a universal truth. I learned that vinegar (especially balsamic) smells like dirty stinky feet. I now know why I have hated vinegar my whole life. I don't like eating stinky feet! For dinner last night the recipe called for a little balsamic vinegar, and my bottle dumped a whole lot more than I ever would have added in this or any other universe. My whole house smelled like stinky feet. And we had to eat it! Well, at least it didn't taste as bad as that.

ahhhhhh, i feel the same way about the crazied humans in "i am legend"!!!!! i cannot enter my bathroom in the middle of the night without shuddering!!!! i SWEAR they are huddled in the corner, ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! curse that movie, curse it!!!!!

What's the button thing? I'm lost on that one. When I was little I was terrified of fires. If I dragged my sleeping bag across the room I would have to go get a damp towel and rub it on the carpet just in case!

I've all ready told ever one about my basement monster fear... Wich I still have. But I was always scared of rober coming in and killing the entire family but me... My dad wacthed alot of crime shows.. So when I hear a srtange sound in the middle of the night I would stay awake for hours just listening contenly so I could be a good witness and scream when apropiate... silly huh... I still hear strange noises and think someone is in my house but I only stay up for a few min listening to see what it really is and If I can't figure it out I wake Johnny up and the noise goes away...

I was always afraid of the gunman in the food storage room in our basement. Whenever I got called to come upstairs, I would run up the stairs as fast as I could in order to avoid getting shot at. It's totally ridiculous, I know now. So are you really going to do as many pushups as comments people leave you?

I was seriously afraid that Darth Vader was coming to get me. He was walking up the street and was going to climb into my room to kill me. I think Star Wars was too much for me. I think it may still be too much for me.

I know that young people must have jobs. They have to start somewhere, but really, there has got to be some sort of intelligence test or guidelines before hiring people. Really. Heavenly Presents

I was getting a little worried. The baby had not changed in her weight or height for a month. Not since the 22 of October. My midwife was a little worried. She said if there wasn't a change soon, she would have to induce me. Did you know I wanted to go natural? Absolutely completely natural. I wanted to start on my own, and be completely under my own will power. Hearing that she would have to start me sent a cold fear through my body. Evidently, my baby possibly had something called IUGR ( intra uterine growth restriction) which could cause a myriad of problems, the worst being a still birth. A still birth is one of my biggest fears. So yesterday I went in to get checked, praying that my body had changed, that it had dilated on its own. If it had she wouldn't have to start me. Vegetarians at the Barbecue

We don't see our friends as often as we would like.  Something about us being the only ones married and with kids.  Whatever.  So any chance to have them all come play is a welcome one.  Since Jeffrey just had a birthday, we decided to have a barbecue tonight.
