The LEarning Curve

I love to learn. I hate those days when I don't learn anything. They feel like such a waste. Thankfully, this Christmas season I was able to mingle with a lot of friends I haven't seen for quite a while, and I was able to learn lots from them. Yay! Because of that, I have made a goal to learn one new thing everyday.
Yesterday I learned all about the famous shoot out at the OK Corral between the "Cowboys" and the Earp brothers and Doc Holliday. My dear sweet husband is the biggest history buff that I have ever met. History is his hobby. When he is stressed or overwhelmed or just has spare time, he will find a good documentary that he can watch. He is my source for all things historical. So last night I got a wonderful lesson in the Old West and the inaccuracy of Hollywood. For anyone interested I highly recommend googling the OK Corrall. It's good stuff.
I plan on forcing you all to learn something new everyday, as a mind is a terrible thing to waste and until I can go back to school this is my way of coping. I hope that threat doesn't scare anyone a way!

So true I 've been to the OK Corrall, and its so difrent than the movies... The movies make it fun I guess. You guys should check out the easter rendezvous in ogden this spring... Your history buff would like it I think.
By the way, I like the new layout, it's very hip and with it!
I love learning everyday too! I totally know what you mean about not being able to go back to school. Everyday it seems I am thinking of a different major I could have if I went back to school. So far I have thought of English language, Journalism, Art Education, Computer science, Counseling (MS), and food science chemistry.

I feel the same way. The day seems a bit wasted if I haven't learned something new, created something, or challenged myself in some other way. That's a great goal for everyone.
