Happy Thanksgiving!

As the days draw closer, all the cooks are getting more and more frantic. Thanksgiving Dinner is always such a huge event! I have to say, I really love Thanksgiving. I love the smells, the feel of the air, and the fact that we have a day set aside specifically to give thanks. What a refreshing tradition we have in a world full of such selfish people and holidays. It always makes me sad when the retail stores go straight from Halloween {one "Gimme-Gimme!" holiday} straight on to Christmas {the epitomy of "Gimme-Gimme" holidays} completely by-passing the only time a year when our whole nation takes time to count their blessings. We are told that the more thankful we are, the more grateful, the more blessings we will receive. When the Lord sees us appreciative of the things He has given us, he will want to give us more. With that said, I want to list just a FEW of the things I am grateful for. I am so thankful for my cute little family, and my much larger family as well. I am every day thankful for the weather. It doesn't matter what kind of weather it is, I love it! I am so thankful for my knowledge of the Gosple of Jesus Christ and for the Lov of my Father. I am grateful for Temples and that I am sealed to all of my family. I am grateful for my health, my friends, my books, music... and I think I could go on for quite a while, but neither I nor you have time to spend mulling over all the little things. Suffice it to say that Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of year, and I am so excited to be able to spend it with my families. Happy Thanksgiving everyone... and good luck with Black Friday {shudder}

Love the picture! We'll see if my table looks that good come Thursday! (probably not) You are right, it is so refreshing to think about all the things were are thankful for between the two holidays that are the "gimme" holidays. I've got to get to work on finding some great recipes for this Thursday!
