It has begun. Officially, The Boss is growing up. Today I was busy cleaning up the living room when I suddenly heard it. R-i-i-i-i-p. I hurried over to where he was sitting, looking up at me with a huge grin with a page out of my book in his hand. I had hoped he wouldn't be like normal babies, and he would just by-pass the destructive age. I can handle crayon on my walls, I can handle muddy floors, but my books!?!
I am very relieved to report it was a blank page, but gone are the days when I can read books on the floor.
Gone are the days when I can fill the bottom shelves of my book shelf with books.
On a happier note, Saturday was a great day with my little boy. We went to a birthday party for his cousin and he had a blast. My favorite part was when he pointed to a picture of her as a baby and said "beebee!" over and over and over. I didn't teach him that. What a smart little boy he is! Later my in laws took us out to eat at one of my favorite restaurants. While we were there I got up to get my father in law a drink. The Boss saw me walking away, and leaned way over the side of his high chair and yelled "Maam!" There is nothing quite like that to make your heart melt and know that your baby really does love you! What a blessing little boys are.
