A Moment of Silence Please

I woke up this morning extremely grumpy.  I didn't sleep well last night.  A combination of Faye waking up several times, and bad dreams left me feeling very tired when morning came around.

I took Jeffrey to work so my kids could play with their cousins at their grandmother's house.  As I drove, I listened to the radio.  And then I heard the news, and my heart broke just a little.

Not for me, but for the thousands of people effected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

8.9 magnitude quake.  The worst in recorded history.

It really puts things in perspective.I have nothing to be grumpy about.  I should instead focus on all the wonderful things in my life instead of the little sleep I got last night.  Sheesh.

So lets take a moment to offer up prayers or good thoughts or energy for Japan, and all the people who are in the path of the traveling tsunami.

So true. We have much to be grateful for, and many thoughts and prayers should be directed toward Japan today and in the days and months ahead.

Yes it was another morning waking to the news of tragedy. We are blessed right now and we need to remember that.

That video gives me chills every time I watch it.

It just saddens me and leaves me feeling almost empty if that makes sense. And I looked to see how long the quake lasted. Five minutes. FIVE MINUTES. I don't even like the ones that last 45 seconds. Yes indeed prayers to all those people.

Tragedy is personal. You never know what will rock your core.
