Tender Mercies

Happy prank day every one. I think the weather is pulling the best prank on us yet.

"Spring? Ha! Let's dump just a little more snow and call it Spring!"

I hope you all get some good ones in. Although I love harmless pranks, I decided not to participate this year. The day is still young, so I may change my mind, but at the moment, there really is no indication that the prankiness in me will come forth.

Instead, I want to share with you a wonderful experience I had today.

I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I didn't want to get up at all, I just wanted to spend the whole day lounging in bed, and reading. My Love got up, got ready for work, and then very patiently told me that he needed to get going, so I needed to get up if I wanted the car today.

I reluctantly left the warm fluffy blanket and we left the house minutes after that. We drove to My Love's work (which is roughly an hour drive) and once we got there, he realized that while he was putting The Boss in his car seat, he had left his work bag (which contained his badge, computer and ipod) on the road next to his feet. Oops!

He decided that he had better go home, because he couldn't even really enter the building without his badge, and he had to know that all else was safe. We rushed home, and when we got there, the bag was safe inside the door.

What a miracle. What a tender mercy shown to us by our Heavenly Father.

So while you go around pranking and laughing so much today, just take a moment to remember all your blessings and from whence they come.

Happy April 1st!

I'm glad his bag was safe inside! It sounds like you must've spent a lot of time driving in the car today though!

Haha, yes, I think I did hear your sigh. Thanks for caring!

Shannon,
Yup, we were in the car a lot, which is why my hubby decided to just take the day off. I liked that part of the day!

Meg,
I am glad you like the bee butter. It's the greatest stuff ever, isn't it?
