I've been tagged!

Hey, this is kind of fun, I've never been tagged before. At any rate, this tag is a way for all of you to get to know me far more than you have ever wanted to.

The Rules are as follows:
- Link the Person who Tagged you.
- Mention rules on your blog.
- Tell about 6 quirks of yours.
- Tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same.
- Leave a comment to let them know.

1: I hate for the sheets to be tangled up when I go to sleep. It is bizarro, I know, but I have to make the bed before I can go to sleep. I admit, some days I get a little pre-occupied, and I don't get the bed made in the morning. bed-time rolls around, and I have to make the bed before I can get into it. It drives My Love crazy, but I can't help it. I can't sleep if I am tangled. I feel like a captive, and it results in nightmares. To compromise, we have begun to sleep without a top sheet.

2: When eating alone, I have to read something. It doesn't matter if it is the cereal box, the milk carton, the ketchup label... I have to be reading if I am eating alone. For this reason we generally have books strewn across the house. I am addicted to the written word. In my hubby's words "{I} get sucked into a book faster than Dr. Who into a black hole."

3: I cannot sleep with my door or closet open. When I was a little girl my mother told me that one should always sleep with their door closed, in case of a fire. It takes fires a while longer to burn through a good door than almost anything else. Ever since then I have not been able to sleep with my doors open. If there is a big black entrance {be it a closet or bedroom door} I am acutely aware of it, and cannot sleep until it has been closed.

4: Once I begin reading a book, I cannot put it down until I have finished it, no matter how dumb or how much of a waste of time it is {not meaning to offend anyone here } ie the Twilight series. I read 1-3 and now I want my life back. I refuse to read book 4 simply because I know I will not be able to stop reading it until I have finished it. For this reason, I have learned to be very careful with my book selection. Only one book have I left unfinished, and I will probably not go back to it. It is 1984 by George Orwell. I couldn't handle the torture in the book, it seriously made me sick to my stomach. It was a very interesting book, and helps to broaden your mind, but I doubt I will ever be able to finish it.

5: (I don't think I have weird quirks at all, so this is a lot harder than I would have thought) When walking across a wooden bridge, I have to step on every single board, or else I feel sorry for the ones not trodden upon, and have no rest. It takes me a lot longer to cross bridges than most people, but I have to make sure each and every board gets to feel it is fulfilling it's part as a contributing member of the bridge.

6: When I eat, I only like one thing on my plate at a time. When I am completely finished with that item of food, I will put the next thing on my plate. I don't know why I do this, I just always have. When I am at a restaurant, I have to completely eat one thing before moving on to the next. For this reason, I will generally come home with most of my main course, but all of my side dishes eaten.

Whew, that was difficult. I had to ask My Love for ideas, because if you ask me, I am completely normal. All those idiosyncrasies are normal. Everyone does them, right? Hmm, maybe I am just delusional, who knows. At any rate, it is me. I hope you all had a great time getting to know me, and now that you know me and my logic, you will all become more like me. Ü

I tag Angela, Francisca, Cecilia, Tricia, MaryAnn, and Alicia

Ok, those aren't normal because I don't do them! I rarely finish a book and don't think twice about what planks I have stepped on when walking over a bridge. Very quirky!!

I loved reading these because now I don't feel so silly myself. It is good to have cute quirks. Makes people a lot more interesting and fun to be around. :)

However, I would be concerned with the time it would take to traverse a bridge with you... LOL!

I had so much fun reading your blog, and learning all about you! You are too cute.....and completely normal! I love the part about stepping on every piece of wood on the bridge, so no pieces feel left out. I hope you guys are doing great!

Well, I wasn't sure if you were tagging me, or someone else who spells their name the same way. Every time I read that particular combination of letters, I hear "Uh-lee-see-uh" in my head, even though the person writing them may have meant "Uh-lee-shuh". So, if you tagged Uh-lee-shuh, I'm sorry. I did it, just in case. Come check it out on my blog anyway. :)
