After we came out, it was so wonderful. We were both super happy and at peace. I know that everyone already knows this, and it is common knowledge that the Lord blesses us with His spirit when we go, but it was a sweet reminder for me. How I love the Temple and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
So quick My Love's analogy: I had never really known the story of Schindler's List, so My Love told me about it. There was a man who was super high up in the Nazi party. towards the end of the war he saw that so many Jews were being killed, so he started to buy some of them to work in his factory. He was an extremely wealthy man, but was a little greedy, so he was a little picky as to how much money he spent on buying the Jews. He saved some people, and others he did not just because he didn't want to spend all his money. At the end of the war he was broke, and a fugitive (because he was so high up in the Nazi party). He saw all the people he had saved, and he cried because he knew he could have saved more, but he hadn't. Sometimes we see going to the temple as a huge sacrifice. We only have so much time to do the things we need or want to do in this life. It is hard. But when we die and meet all the people we helped, I am sure we too will cry and wish we had done more. We will cry with joy, but also know that if we had been a little less selfish with our time, we could have helped so many more people!
15 And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bring, save it be one asoul unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father!
